Cottonbox, the leading brand of the home textile industry with its quality productions and innovative design, organized the Tasarıma Değer competition, for the second time this year. The theme of the competition, which was held in 2021 with the theme of "New World", was "Journey of Lines" this year. As a result of the Jury's evaluation; Elif Zaim was the winner, Nisanur İncelerli was the second, and Kioumpra Giounous Chalil was the third, in the competition where special designs were created.
 
The competition, which highlights the design talents of young people and benefits their careers, was met with great interest. More than 400 young talents that undergraduate or associate degree students studying in Fashion Design, Traditional Turkish Handicrafts, Graphic Design, Fashion and Textile Design, Visual Communication Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, Interior Architecture and Interior Design departments across Turkey participated in the competition. As a result of the Jury's evaluation; Elif Zaim was the winner, Nisanur İncelerli was the second, and Kioumpra Giounous Chalil was the third, in the competition where special designs were created.
 
Cottonbox, which continues on its way with always awareness of the importance of design, started out with the approach of "Value to design and designer" in the design competition it organized for the second time this year. To the competition, which was always organized to support young designers, to contribute to the careers of university students, and to breathe new life into home textile designs, more than 400 students participated. The design and design stories of the 23 contestants who received the most likes in the digital public voting were evaluated by the jury.
 
Special awards found their owners
The winner of the competition became the owner of the Apple Macbook Pro, which the designers liked; second place competitor won the Apple Macbook Air and third place competitor won the Apple Ipad Pro. Devices that would make it easier for them to design were presented to the winners in order to contribute to their academic and professional development in their fields.  Competitors who managed to be in the top 10 in the jury's evaluation, received a gift package specially prepared by Cottonbox.  At the same time, the top three contestants among the 50 designs that passed the pre-selection and qualified for the digital public voting were also awarded. In the digital public voting, winner won a gift card of 2.000 TL, the second won a1.500 TL and the third won a1000 TL from Cottonbox.
 
The designs were evaluated by successful names in their field
The designs which prepared with the theme of the "Journey of Lines", were evaluated by the jury team includes: Cottonbox Chairman of the Board Nuri Turgut, Cottonbox Manager Emin Mert Turgut, Cottonbox design team Büşra Uğraş and Bahar Janeri, Creative Director Candan Durusöz, All Decor Magazine editor-in-chief Gökçe Karaman, social media content producer Aylin Şen Ceylan and the winner of the 2021 Design Value competition Ayşegül Çelik.

Nuri Turgut, Chairman of the Board of Cottonbox, stated that they organized this competition in order to young designers to have the opportunity to exhibit their designs, to develop in their careers and to gain importance in the concept of design in the home textile industry, and said, “First of all, I congratulate the winners of the competition. With our "Tasarıma Değer" competition, which we organized for the second time this year, we wanted to bring to light the young talents in our country and encourage them to produce new things. Our competition attracted much more attention than we expected this year, and we received very good feedback from the students. We have taken a big step towards making our second design competition traditional this year, and we will continue to work with enthusiasm to touch the lives of many students.”
